ProLearn, an edtech startup founded by ex-Vedantu director Ravneet Singh, has raised ₹30 crore ($3.2 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by BEENEXT, with participation from Eximius Ventures, Antler, and several angel investors, according to inc42.com. Founded just a few months ago, ProLearn aims to develop an AI-native learning platform tailored for K-12 students preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
The startup plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, build AI and reasoning infrastructure, and expand curriculum-aligned content. A portion of the funds will also be allocated to hiring senior talent in AI/ML, product, and growth, as well as scaling go-to-market efforts. ProLearn’s AI learning companion is designed to interact with students in real time, adapting to their individual pace by listening, explaining, and questioning based on their strengths, the CEO said.
The funding round comes amid a broader trend of AI integration in the edtech sector, where platforms increasingly use AI to provide personalized lessons and interactive learning experiences. ProLearn’s approach aims to make personalized education more accessible and scalable, addressing the historical challenge of costly one-on-one attention for students in India. This positions the startup alongside other AI-driven edtech ventures focusing on tailored learning solutions.
ProLearn has yet to officially launch its AI learning companion but is actively building out its product and team. The company’s next milestones include expanding its curriculum content and enhancing its AI capabilities to better support students preparing for major competitive exams.
