VerifAIX, an AI-native semiconductor verification startup, has raised $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC, according to inc42.com. The round marks the company’s first institutional fundraise since its founding in 2024. The startup plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, expand customer deployments, and grow engineering teams across the US, India, and Israel.
Founded by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe, and Avner Landver, VerifAIX is developing a platform to help semiconductor engineering teams verify chip designs using AI. Central to its technology is the proprietary “Formal Brain,” which creates a mathematically grounded representation of chip designs and their intended behavior. The platform aims to address the growing need for verification systems that ensure AI-generated hardware designs conform to original specifications.
The funding comes amid increasing adoption of AI in semiconductor design workflows, including generating register-transfer level (RTL) code and other design assets. Faster hardware design generation has heightened the demand for independent verification tools. VerifAIX’s platform provides a “verification trust layer” for AI-driven chip design, enhancing formal verification and simulation capabilities to handle larger chip designs and automate abstraction and decomposition processes.
VerifAIX will deploy the fresh capital to advance its Formal Brain technology, scale its automated verification capabilities, and strengthen its tools for formal verification and simulation. The startup’s expansion plans include growing engineering teams in key global locations and increasing customer deployments, positioning it to address verification challenges in the evolving semiconductor industry.
