US-based healthtech startup Confido Health raised $12.5 million in an extension funding round led by venture capital firm Z47, bringing the total raised in this round to $22.5 million, according to economictimes.indiatimes.com. Existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated. The company plans to use the capital to expand its AI-driven CareOS platform across multi-location healthcare organizations.
Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health develops AI agents that automate administrative healthcare tasks such as patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription refills, and payment follow-ups. Healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks joined as an investor and board adviser. Vikram Vaidyanathan, Partner at Z47, described Confido as building AI staffing for healthcare, integrating virtual employees seamlessly into provider workflows.
Confido initially focused on voice AI for patient call automation but has since expanded into a comprehensive platform that manages administrative processes across more than 50 healthcare systems, including electronic health records and practice management software. This positions Confido in a growing market where AI is increasingly used to reduce administrative burdens in healthcare, similar to other AI-driven healthtech firms expanding automation capabilities.
The company confirmed the $12.5 million extension round led by Z47 this week, with plans to develop additional AI agents tailored for different healthcare workflows and specialties, further scaling its CareOS platform’s reach across healthcare providers.
