Nykaa’s board of directors has approved the acquisition of a 51% stake in direct-to-consumer skincare brand Aminu for up to ₹32 crore. The transaction is expected to close by September 15, according to exchange filings. Aminu, founded in 2019 by Prachi Bhandari and Aman Mohunta, offers premium skincare products including serums, cleansers, sunscreens, masks, and moisturizers.
The acquisition aims to strengthen Nykaa’s presence in the premium skincare segment, leveraging Aminu’s strong research and development capabilities and omnichannel distribution. Aminu reported revenue of ₹19.4 crore in FY26, a 50% increase from ₹13 crore in FY25. The brand sources ingredients from over 40 countries and uses more than 250 clean, skin-friendly ingredients, having eliminated nearly 3,000 popular but harmful substances from its products.
Nykaa has previously acquired or invested in several beauty and personal care brands such as Dot & Key and Earth Rhythm to expand its house of brands. Aminu’s premium positioning aligns with Nykaa’s strategy to deepen its footprint in higher-end skincare, a segment showing robust growth in India’s beauty market. The deal also enhances Nykaa’s portfolio with a brand known for clean formulations and free skin consultation services.
Alongside approving the acquisition, Nykaa’s board cleared the company’s financial results for Q1 FY27, reporting over threefold growth in key metrics. The acquisition deal is set to finalize by September 15, marking Nykaa’s continued expansion in the premium beauty and personal care sector.
