Pine Labs Q1 FY27 profit rises fourfold to Rs 19.6 crore

Pine Labs reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 19.6 crore in the first quarter of FY27, marking a fourfold increase from Rs 4.8 crore in the same period last year, according to medianama.com.

Pine Labs reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 19.6 crore in the first quarter of FY27, marking a fourfold increase from Rs 4.8 crore in the same period last year, according to medianama.com. Revenue from operations rose 20% year-on-year to Rs 737 crore, driven mainly by increased subscription fees from its Digital Checkout Points, which now account for 29% of total revenue.

The company’s revenue growth was supported by a 15% rise in income from its Digital Infrastructure and Transaction Platform, which generated Rs 499.1 crore in Q1 FY27 and contributed over two-thirds of total revenue. Pine Labs processed 2.01 billion transactions during the quarter, reflecting a nearly 15% increase year-on-year. However, net profit declined 67% quarter-on-quarter from Rs 59.4 crore due to seasonal business mix changes and investments in connectivity, distribution, and operational infrastructure.

Pine Labs operates across India, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the US, and Africa, offering merchant payments and lending solutions. The company’s focus on subscription-based revenue from digital checkout points aligns with broader fintech trends emphasizing recurring revenue streams. The contribution margin slipped one percentage point to 72%, highlighting the impact of strategic investments and seasonal factors on profitability.

The company’s sequential operating revenue grew 5% from Rs 701 crore in the previous quarter. Pine Labs’ Q1 FY27 results underscore the growing importance of digital infrastructure in its business model and the expanding scale of its transaction platform across multiple geographies.
