Quantum cybersecurity startup QNu Labs has raised ₹200 crore (approximately $21 million) in its Series A1 funding round, co-led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest, the company confirmed. Other participants included Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital, and Artha Ventures. The Bengaluru-based firm plans to deploy the capital to scale research and development, sales, go-to-market strategies, and partnerships.
QNu Labs’ cofounder and CEO Sunil Gupta told inc42.com that the fresh funds will also support investments in internal processes, IT, and automation as the startup transitions from technology development to a proof-of-scale business. The latest round brings QNu Labs’ total capital raised to ₹375 crore, following a previous ₹60 crore Series A round. The funding coincides with the company’s expansion beyond its existing cybersecurity portfolio.
The startup recently developed QShield 2.0, a platform focused on discovering and assessing cryptographic assets to help enterprises prepare for quantum-safe migration. QNu Labs is also advancing security solutions for drones and satellites, with its drone security technology currently undergoing pilot testing. Gupta noted that these offerings are expected to serve the defense sector. Additionally, the funding will help meet the matching requirement for a ₹150 crore government Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) project awarded to QNu Labs.
QNu Labs’ ₹200 crore Series A1 funding round was announced this week, marking a key milestone as the company scales its quantum cybersecurity technologies and expands its market presence.
