WEH Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm, announced the first close of its third fund, targeting a total corpus of ₹250 crore. The firm expects to fully close Fund III by mid-2027 and has already begun deploying capital across 20–25 startups in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy transition, AI, healthcare, consumer, and fintech, according to inc42.com.
The initial close included commitments from limited partners like Nordic fund-of-funds Play Capital, family offices including Eraya, Twin & Bull Investments, and Heritage Investments, along with founders and executives from companies such as Oziva, GS Labs, Thermax, Haleon, Lenovo, and PNB MetLife. WEH Ventures has made eight investments from Fund III so far, including advanced horticulture startup Fragaria, which raised $2 million in October 2025, elder-healthcare startup Praan Health, and sports retailer PlayBlue, which raised $2.7 million in July, inc42.com reported.
WEH Ventures launched its first fund in 2017 and followed with Fund II in 2020. Fund I returned 1.4 times the capital invested, while Fund II has shown strong performance. The firm’s focus on early-stage startups across diverse sectors positions it among active seed investors in India, with a portfolio that already includes companies advancing in robotics, healthcare diagnostics, retail, and edtech, inc42.com noted.
The firm aims to complete Fund III’s ₹250 crore target by mid-2027. Its early investments and subsequent rounds at higher valuations highlight its growing influence in the seed-stage funding landscape, according to inc42.com.
