Bengaluru-based manufacturing startup Whizzo is in talks to raise around $26 million in its Series B funding round, potentially co-led by Aavishkaar Capital and Bertelsmann Investments, according to inc42.com. Existing investors Fundamentum and Lightspeed Ventures are also expected to participate. This fresh round follows Whizzo’s $15 million Series A funding secured about six months ago.
Whizzo, founded in 2024 by Shrestha Kukreja, has previously raised institutional funding to bolster its advanced research and development capabilities. The startup focuses on contract development and manufacturing services in textile design and R&D, serving clients across India, Vietnam, China, and Bangladesh. The Series A round was led by Fundamentum with participation from Korean investor LB Investment Fund and Lightspeed Ventures, which also led the seed round in 2025.
The new funding round will likely support Whizzo’s efforts to enhance its in-house intellectual property for materials science innovation, expand its design lab for fashion-engineered textiles, and grow its supply chain. Whizzo integrates R&D, formulation, prototyping, process engineering, and commercial-scale manufacturing under one roof. The startup operates in a competitive sector where advanced textile innovation and supply chain integration are key differentiators.
Whizzo’s Series B round, if closed at $26 million, will mark a significant capital infusion following its $15 million Series A round earlier this year. The company has not yet responded to queries about the funding, and further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
