Cinepolis India expanded its footprint in Faridabad by opening a new four-screen multiplex at Amolik’s City Life Mall in Sector 28, adding 549 seats. The launch, which took place just before the Gandhi Jayanti holiday weekend, brings Cinepolis’ total screens in Faridabad to eight, doubling its presence in the city within a year since its first property opened in November 2025, according to livemint.com.
The new multiplex features recliner seating, Dolby sound technology, and Cinepolis’ food and beverage offerings, aiming to provide residents in the area with a convenient movie-going option. Cinepolis India’s managing director, Devang Sampat, said the expansion was driven by the growing residential population and catchment area around Sector 28. The timing of the launch coincided with the release of the film Drishyam: The Conclusion on October 2, a period known for increased footfall in cinemas.
This expansion reflects Cinepolis’ strategy to capitalize on urban growth and rising demand for entertainment options in the Delhi-NCR region. The company’s initial Faridabad multiplex at Pacific Mall opened with 788 seats across four screens, and the addition of the new property effectively doubles its capacity in the city. The move aligns with broader trends of multiplex chains increasing screen counts in suburban areas to capture expanding audiences.
Cinepolis India now operates eight screens in Faridabad, with the latest multiplex opening in Sector 28’s City Life Mall just before October 2, 2026, marking a significant step in its regional growth strategy, livemint.com reported.
