She officially joined the Army as a Lieutenant on September 5 after completing training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Gaya, according to livemint.com.

After graduating from NIT Calicut, she initially pursued a corporate career with ExxonMobil in Bengaluru. However, she resigned to enroll at OTA Gaya, where she underwent rigorous military training before commissioning as an officer in the Indian Army, the report said.
