Zoho Cliq launches Vibe code to automate workflows with AI prompts

Zoho has introduced Vibe code, a new feature within its Cliq developer platform that enables users to create automations by describing their needs in plain language. This innovation eliminates the need for manual coding, scripting, and debugging traditionally required to build bots and workflows. The update was announced on Zoho's official blog this week, marking a shift toward AI-driven automation in workplace productivity tools.

Vibe code leverages AI to translate user descriptions directly into functional automations, bypassing the need to write lines of Deluge code or manually configure handlers and webhooks. Zoho's Cliq platform already supported low-code and no-code development, but Vibe code advances this by allowing users to simply state their desired outcome. The platform then assembles the automation using its MCP tools, streamlining bot creation and deployment within organizations.

This move aligns with Gartner's forecast that 70% of new applications will be built using low-code or no-code technologies by 2025, up from less than 25% in 2020. By integrating AI prompting, Zoho is pushing the boundaries of automation, making it accessible to users who understand business processes but lack programming skills. This approach reduces dependency on specialized developers and accelerates digital transformation efforts across enterprises.

Zoho's Vibe code is now available as part of the Cliq developer platform, enabling organizations to build and deploy bots faster with fewer technical hurdles. The platform's MCP tools handle edge cases and debugging automatically, allowing users to focus on describing their automation goals rather than coding them.
