Beyond Appliances, a Bengaluru-based smart kitchen startup, raised ₹110 crore ($10.4 million) in a Series B funding round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from Dharana Capital and other investors, the company announced this week. The fresh capital will support the startup’s plans to expand its product portfolio and set up a new manufacturing plant in South or West India.
Founded in August 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, Beyond Appliances currently operates two manufacturing facilities in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, producing about 90% of its products in-house. The startup specializes in connected kitchen appliances such as smart chimneys and hobs. Its flagship Android-powered chimney integrates OTT and music apps, cooking reminders, grocery list management, and a recipe app called Chef Verse. The company plans to launch ovens within the next 9 to 12 months, according to founder Vikas.
The funding round underscores growing investor interest in smart home appliances in India, a sector seeing rising demand for connected and multifunctional kitchen devices. Beyond Appliances’ omnichannel sales approach, with 60% of products sold offline, positions it alongside other emerging players innovating in smart kitchen technology. The new manufacturing facility aims to boost production capacity to meet expanding market needs.
Beyond Appliances’ Series B funding round marks a key milestone in its growth trajectory less than two years after founding. The startup’s next product launch is scheduled within a year, and the new plant location decision is expected soon, as confirmed by the company in its funding announcement.
