Butterfly Learnings, a Mumbai-based healthtech startup focused on child development and behavioral healthcare, raised ₹65 crore ($7.7 million) in a pre-Series B funding round led by Inflexor Ventures. The round also saw participation from existing investors Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund, and IIMA Ventures. The fresh capital will support the startup’s expansion beyond Maharashtra and enhance its AI and digital capabilities, the company announced.

Founded in 2021 by Sonam Kothari and Abhishek Sen, Butterfly Learnings operates a network of over 90 therapy centres across 22 cities in Maharashtra, employing more than 350 therapists. The startup offers a full-stack pediatric behavioral health platform addressing autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities through clinical therapy, inclusive schooling, digital therapeutics, diagnostics, and technology-enabled interventions. Its patented Get SET Early autism screening tool, approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, uses eye-tracking technology and holds an exclusive global license.

The funding will enable Butterfly Learnings to scale the deployment of Get SET Early by partnering with hospitals and pediatricians, expand access to inclusive education, and advance AI-enabled precision care. The startup’s approach aligns with growing demand for specialized neurodevelopmental care in India, where early diagnosis and intervention remain critical. Butterfly Learnings’ model integrates technology with clinical expertise, positioning it among emerging players in the pediatric behavioral health segment.

Butterfly Learnings plans to leverage the ₹65 crore funding to broaden its therapy centre network outside Maharashtra and strengthen collaborations with healthcare providers. The startup’s next milestone includes expanding the reach of its AI-powered autism screening tool through hospital partnerships, aiming to improve early diagnosis and intervention outcomes for neurodivergent children.
