CARPL.ai, an AI-powered healthtech startup, has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank Group, the company confirmed to inc42.com. Existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and undisclosed investors also participated. The fresh capital will be used to scale product development and expand sales and delivery teams globally.

Founded in 2018 by Vidur Mahajan and officially launched in 2021, CARPL.ai offers a SaaS platform that enables hospitals and radiologists to deploy and manage multiple medical imaging AI applications through a single interface. The platform addresses the complexity and cost challenges hospitals face when working with multiple AI vendors, each with their own software and integration requirements. CARPL.ai hosts over 300 AI applications from more than 100 vendors and has partnered with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) companies to enhance its offerings.

The funding round underscores growing investor interest in healthtech startups that streamline AI adoption in medical imaging. CARPL.ai’s marketplace model is notable for simplifying access to diverse AI radiology tools, which can improve diagnostic workflows and reduce operational burdens for healthcare providers. The startup’s approach contrasts with standalone AI solutions, positioning it alongside emerging platforms aiming to integrate multiple AI applications in healthcare settings.

CARPL.ai plans to deploy the funds to strengthen its technology stack and accelerate global expansion of its sales and delivery teams, Vidur Mahajan told inc42.com. The startup’s ability to host a wide range of AI applications and its partnerships with PACS companies position it to scale rapidly in the growing medical imaging AI market.
