Cashfree Payments reported a 51.1% increase in operating revenue to ₹967 crore in fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), inching closer to the ₹1,000 crore mark. The fintech startup also reduced its net losses by 23.1% to ₹118.5 crore during the same period, compared to ₹154.1 crore in FY25, according to inc42.com.
Founded in 2015 by Akash Sinha and Reeju Datta, Cashfree Payments offers digital payment solutions including payment gateways, cross-border payments, payout solutions, and banking APIs. The company’s total income, including other income of ₹5.03 crore, stood at ₹972.5 crore in FY26. Payment gateway commissions formed the largest share of operating revenue at ₹889.7 crore, up 85% from ₹480.9 crore in FY25. Commissions from payouts and cross-border payments contributed ₹69.4 crore.
Cashfree Payments has served over 20 lakh businesses and processes transactions worth $80 billion annually, with clients such as MakeMyTrip, Zomato, CRED, and Delhivery. The startup has expanded into agentic payments, allowing AI agents to autonomously process invoices and payments via its MCP server. Backed by investors including Y Combinator, Apis Partners, State Bank of India, and KRAFTON, Cashfree has raised nearly $94 million to date.
The company’s financial results for FY26 highlight significant growth in payment gateway commissions and improved profitability metrics. These figures reflect Cashfree Payments’ expanding footprint in India’s digital payments sector and its ongoing efforts to diversify revenue streams.
