Wealthtech startup Centricity raised ₹280 crore (around $29 million) in a funding round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund, the company announced. The round included ₹230 crore in equity and ₹50 crore in venture debt, valuing the Gurugram-based startup at approximately ₹1,800 crore ($190 million). The fresh capital will support Centricity’s technology development and expansion of its B2B2C wealth-distribution platform and NRI client business.
Founded in 2022 by Manu Awasthy, Aditya Shankar, Gaurav Tiwari, Manish Sharma, and Pushpendra Singh, Centricity offers wealth management and investment solutions to financial advisers, retail investors, HNIs, UHNIs, and family offices. Existing investors Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments, Kuldeep Rathi Family Office, Stride Ventures, and Innoven Capital also participated in the round alongside SMBC Asia Rising Fund. The startup operates multiple verticals including the One Digital B2B2C platform, Invictus Private Wealth, and the Global Private Client business for NRIs.
Centricity’s platform automates portfolio consolidation, reporting, risk analytics, and investment monitoring, addressing growing demand for streamlined wealth management solutions. The company aims to deepen its presence in India and overseas by expanding its private wealth and NRI businesses. The funding round is notable in the wealthtech sector, where startups are increasingly targeting affluent and global investors with integrated digital platforms. Centricity’s valuation of ₹1,800 crore places it among emerging leaders in India’s wealthtech space.
The startup plans to deploy the funds to enhance its technology stack and grow its Global Private Client business, which enables NRIs and international investors to access Indian and global investment opportunities. Centricity’s expansion efforts follow the funding round closure this month, positioning it for accelerated growth in the wealthtech market, according to inc42.com.
