Electric mobility startup E3 Electric.Ai has raised ₹100 crore (about $10.4 million) in a Series A funding round led by BluVenture Holdings, with participation from undisclosed angel investors, the company confirmed to inc42.com. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and expand its presence across India as it prepares to launch its first electric scooter, the E3 TRION.
Founder and CEO P Sanjeev said about 75% of the funding came via equity, with the remainder as debt. E3 Electric.Ai intends to initially launch in Bengaluru and select southern markets, followed by expansion to around 90 identified markets including Delhi within the current financial year. The startup is currently accepting waitlist registrations on its website to gauge customer interest ahead of the commercial launch.
E3 Electric.Ai was founded in 2024 by former TVS Motor EV head Sanjeev and focuses on AI-powered electric scooters designed for families and everyday commuters. Its scooters use AI to enhance battery safety, predict maintenance needs, and manage range. The company follows an asset-light model, prioritizing investment in intellectual property and technology over manufacturing infrastructure. This approach differentiates E3 from other electric vehicle startups that invest heavily in assembly lines.
The startup’s modular platform allows it to build multiple scooter variants on a common chassis and upgrade features over time. E3 Electric.Ai’s first product, the E3 TRION, is set to launch commercially after the current waitlist phase, marking a key milestone for the company’s entry into India’s growing electric mobility market.
