ETN raises $1.6m to expand as Europe’s tech business podcast network

ETN, a London-based tech business podcast network, announced a $1.6 million seed funding round on Monday.

ETN, a London-based tech business podcast network, announced a $1.6 million seed funding round on Monday. The round attracted backing from Axel Springer, Powerhouse Capital, and angel investors from OpenAI and DeepMind. ETN has surpassed 5 million views across YouTube and X, marking a significant milestone ahead of its relaunch with increased live shows.

Founded by Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers, ETN initially launched quietly less than a year ago with limited resources. The company paused briefly before relaunching with an expanded schedule, increasing live shows from two to five per week. Chambers noted that investor demand exceeded expectations, leading the team to accept more participants than originally planned due to strong interest from fans and viewers.

The funding will primarily support the development of a new studio near King’s Cross, described by Chambers as “state-of-the-art.” ETN aims to establish itself as Europe’s answer to the US tech media phenomenon TBPN. The involvement of prominent investors such as Axel Springer and Powerhouse Capital highlights growing confidence in ETN’s potential to scale within the competitive tech media sector.

ETN’s next phase includes leveraging the new studio facilities to increase content production and audience engagement. The company’s growth is underscored by its achievement of over 5 million views, a key metric demonstrating its expanding reach in the European tech podcast market.
