Fixxly, a building materials quick commerce startup, has raised $5.5 million (₹52.6 crore) in a seed funding round led by Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners. Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, the company plans to use the capital to enhance its technology platform and scale operations ahead of its commercial launch on September 1, 2026. Fixxly will initially operate in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities, according to inc42.com.
The startup is developing an AI-driven quick commerce platform to deliver construction materials such as plywood, paint, electricals, lighting, hardware, and plumbing supplies within 30 minutes through a network of dark stores. Fixxly targets electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, civil contractors, interior designers, contractors, and homeowners. Its AI-powered supply network matches orders with real-time inventory, customer proximity, and local demand to fulfill urgent purchases. Shezan Bhojani previously co-founded DesignCafe, acquired by HomeLane in 2024, inc42.com reported.
Fixxly's entry into the quick commerce sector reflects the market's expansion beyond groceries into specialized categories like building materials. The startup aims to address delays caused by the fragmented procurement system, which relies heavily on local dealers and is typically suited for planned or next-day purchases. The $5.5 million seed round positions Fixxly alongside other startups leveraging AI to optimize supply chains and meet urgent demand in India's growing quick commerce landscape, inc42.com noted.
Fixxly's commercial launch is scheduled for September 1, 2026, starting in Bengaluru. The company will use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology and scale operations, aiming to transform building materials procurement with AI-driven quick commerce solutions, inc42.com stated.
