InsuranceDekho’s cofounders, CEO Ankit Agrawal and CTO Ish Babbar, have denied reports that they are planning to step down from their executive roles, despite ongoing talks about the company’s strategic direction. The startup is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) targeted for March 2027, aiming for a valuation near ₹9,500 crore and an IPO size of ₹3,000-4,000 crore, according to inc42.com.

Earlier this month, InsuranceDekho merged with the RenewBuy group, with Agrawal continuing as CEO and Babbar leading the technology division. Sources told inc42.com that the founders were considering moving into promoter roles while professional management would take over day-to-day operations. However, a company spokesperson clarified that the cofounders remain actively involved in strategy and growth alongside the leadership team, and there has been no change in their roles.

The planned IPO is expected to include both a fresh issue of equity shares and an offer for sale by existing investors, with the fresh issue likely constituting the larger portion. The company’s move to consolidate with RenewBuy and prepare for a public listing places it among notable insurance tech startups targeting the Indian market. The IPO size and valuation reflect growing investor interest in the insurtech sector.

InsuranceDekho’s IPO structure and final valuation will be determined closer to the listing date. The company’s spokesperson reaffirmed the founders’ commitment to leading the business through this phase, underscoring their ongoing involvement as the startup advances toward its public debut.
