Naturis Cosmetics, a Mumbai-based beauty and personal care manufacturer, raised ₹100 crore (around $11.8 million) in a Series A funding round led by Sharrp Ventures. The round also saw participation from Mirabilis Investment Trust, Anicut Capital, Niveshaay, and angel investors including Suyash Saraf and Yogesh Kabra. The startup plans to use the funds to expand production capacity and open new facilities, the company confirmed to inc42.com.
Founded in 2011 by Rahul Tandon, Sanjay Mehra, Nukul Mehra, and Dhruv Mehra, Naturis Cosmetics provides contract manufacturing services to over 50 brands across D2C, FMCG, and OTC pharma sectors. The company specialises in skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance, personal care, and pharmaceutical products. The fresh capital will fund a new 225,000 sq ft production facility in Vapi, Gujarat, an experience centre in Delhi NCR, and a new R&D centre in Mumbai, according to inc42.com.
The beauty and personal care sector is witnessing rapid growth with new-age D2C brands entering the market. Naturis Cosmetics’ client portfolio includes Pilgrim, Purplle, Nykaa, Colorbar, and Kay Beauty. The company has also partnered with Glenmark and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to develop OTC and cosmeceutical products. This funding round positions Naturis to scale its team and expand into adjacent categories such as men’s grooming, body care, and fragrances over the next five years, inc42.com reported.
Naturis Cosmetics’ expansion plans include scaling manufacturing and R&D capabilities to meet growing demand. The new production facility in Gujarat and R&D centre in Mumbai are expected to enhance the company’s product development and supply chain. The startup’s next milestone will be the operational launch of these facilities, which will support its growth trajectory in the competitive BPC market, according to inc42.com.
