Sunfox Technologies raises $7 million to expand cardiac diagnostics platform

Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies secured $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital, and 3one4 Capital.

Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies secured $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital, and 3one4 Capital. The fresh capital will support the expansion of its portable cardiac diagnostics platform, Spandan, across India and international markets. The announcement came this week as the company outlined plans to grow its team and invest in research, development, and regulatory capabilities.

Founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Sabit Rawat, Nitin Chandola, and Saurabh Badola, Sunfox Technologies develops AI-enabled cardiac diagnostic solutions for hospitals, clinics, telemedicine networks, and home monitoring. The Spandan platform allows users and healthcare workers to record ECGs via smartphone and share them with doctors remotely. The system flags urgent cardiac patterns, enabling timely medical intervention. The startup also offers Spandan One, a digital platform for remote ECG review and tele-ECG network management, according to inc42.com.

Sunfox has regulatory approvals in India, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa, with ongoing efforts to secure clearances in the US and European Union. The $7 million round follows a $1.8 million funding led by Venture Catalysts earlier this year. The company aims to strengthen its clinical evidence, engineering, and commercial operations to compete in the growing global market for portable cardiac diagnostics, which is seeing increased demand due to rising cardiovascular disease prevalence and telemedicine adoption.

Sunfox Technologies confirmed that the new funding will also support building distribution networks and regulatory frameworks across the US, Europe, and Africa. The company’s Spandan platform is positioned to enhance cardiac care accessibility, with the next milestone being the completion of regulatory approvals in the US and EU markets.
