Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) sold 3.5 crore shares of Lenskart via its Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust, raising ₹2,390.6 crore in a bulk deal on September 21. The shares were valued at ₹683.02 each, slightly above the stock’s closing price that day, according to inc42.com. This marks the second stake reduction by ADIA in recent months.
Earlier in June, ADIA offloaded 4 crore shares of Lenskart in a block deal worth ₹1,960 crore, with shares priced at ₹490 each. At the end of the June quarter, ADIA held 16.98 crore shares, representing a 9.77% stake. The latest sale corresponds to just over 20% of ADIA’s holdings or roughly 2% of Lenskart’s total equity, inc42.com reported.
Lenskart’s shares have surged 51.3% year-to-date, boosting returns for early investors like ADIA, SoftBank, Temasek, and Alpha Wave, who have sold stakes recently. BNP Paribas, Societe Generale, and Millennium Management also offloaded shares worth ₹2,670.2 crore on September 1. Lenskart’s stock hit an all-time high of ₹725 on September 18, after debuting at ₹390 on the BSE in November 2025.
The ADIA stake sale follows a strong rally in Lenskart’s shares, which have gained significantly since their public listing. The company’s stock performance continues to attract active trading from institutional investors, underscoring ongoing market interest. The next quarterly shareholding update will provide further clarity on institutional stakes.
