Inflexor Ventures has marked the first close of its ₹1,250 crore Inflexor Technology Discovery Fund at ₹400 crore ($41.8 million), according to inc42.com. The fund targets early-stage technology startups, focusing on pre-Series A and Series A rounds, with investment tickets between ₹15 crore and ₹45 crore. The first close includes backing from limited partners such as the Self-Reliant India Fund and HDFC AMC.
Founded in 2019 by Venkat Vallabhaneni, Jatin Desai, and Pratip Mazumdar, Inflexor Ventures has built a portfolio of 27 startups, including Atomberg, Bellatrix Aerospace, and CloudSEK. The firm emphasizes deeptech and intellectual property-led innovation. Its previous funds include a ₹75 crore first fund and an oversubscribed ₹600 crore second fund launched in 2020. The new Fund III reflects the firm's commitment to supporting exceptional founders in science, engineering, and technology sectors.
The ₹1,250 crore Fund III is sector-agnostic and aims to back startups primarily in deeptech and IP-driven innovation, aligning with the growing investor interest in these areas. Inflexor's strategy of focusing on early-stage investments with sizable tickets places it among notable Indian venture capital firms expanding their presence in the technology startup ecosystem. The firm also launched the Inflexor Opportunities Fund I in 2024, targeting ₹350 crore to acquire mature investments from its portfolio.
The first close of ₹400 crore for Fund III includes participation from leading international institutions alongside Indian investors. The fund's full close is expected to reach ₹1,250 crore, positioning Inflexor Ventures to continue backing early-stage technology startups across India.
