Electrical components manufacturer TIEA Connectors has raised ₹77 crore (about $8 million) in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from existing investors Jamwant Ventures and 8X Ventures, along with undisclosed high-net-worth individuals, according to inc42.com. The startup plans to use the funds to expand manufacturing infrastructure, enhance R&D and product engineering, and accelerate automation and technology integration.
Founded in 2019 by Ajith Sasidharan and Punit Shridhar Joshi, TIEA Connectors designs and manufactures electrical connectors and interconnect systems that enable reliable communication between electrical systems, wires, batteries, sensors, and electronic components. The Series A round follows a ₹22 crore funding raised last year from Jamwant Ventures. The company’s product portfolio includes connectors, precision components, and stamping and bending terminals used in electric vehicles, energy storage, consumer electronics, aerospace, and defence sectors.
The funding comes as industries increasingly shift towards electrification and intelligent systems, creating demand for high-reliability interconnection technologies. TIEA Connectors aims to position itself as a globally competitive player in this space from India. The company’s focus on sectors such as e-mobility, aerospace, defence, and avionics aligns with growing market trends toward electrification and automation, highlighting the strategic importance of its product offerings.
TIEA Connectors plans to deploy the funds to scale operations domestically and internationally, particularly in sectors like e-mobility, aerospace, defence, and avionics. The company will also invest in strengthening R&D and product engineering capabilities to support its growth ambitions. Observers will watch for the startup’s progress in expanding manufacturing capacity and technology integration in the coming months.
