Meesho Ltd announced it will acquire Kirana Club, a B2B commerce platform focused on kirana retailers, for about ₹202 crore. The acquisition, revealed in a stock exchange filing on June 12, 2026, marks Meesho’s first-ever acquisition and aims to expand its reach beyond consumer shopping into India’s small retail ecosystem.
The deal will be completed in three tranches on or before March 31, 2027, involving the purchase of 100% of Kirana Club’s Singapore entity, Kirana Club Pte. Ltd., and an additional 0.41% stake in its Indian subsidiary, Retail Pulse Labs Pvt. Ltd. Kirana Club will continue to operate independently as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meesho, with its Indian entity becoming a step-down subsidiary, according to the exchange filing.
Founded in 2020 by Anshul Gupta and Aishwarya Jain, Kirana Club connects kirana stores and small retailers with FMCG brands and distributors, primarily in tier II, III, IV cities and rural India. The acquisition aligns with Meesho’s strategic goal to deepen its presence across the ecommerce value chain amid strong business momentum and strengthen its capabilities in the B2B ecommerce ecosystem.
The transaction was approved by Meesho’s board on June 1, 2026. The company expects the acquisition to be fully executed by March 31, 2027, expanding Meesho’s footprint in India’s kirana retail segment and enhancing its B2B commerce offerings.
