Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop parent Purple Style Labs reported a 12% decline in net loss to ₹88.1 crore for Q1 FY27, down from ₹100.3 crore in the same quarter last year, according to inc42.com. Revenue increased 13% year-on-year to ₹119.4 crore, while total income including other income stood at ₹121.9 crore. However, the net loss rose 40% sequentially from ₹62.9 crore in Q4 FY26.
The company’s expenses rose 32% year-on-year to ₹202.1 crore, driven by higher salary costs which increased to ₹25 crore from ₹18 crore. Marketing expenses remained stable at ₹7 crore, while logistics and other expenses also increased. An exceptional item loss related to employee stock options was ₹8 crore, down from ₹54 crore in the previous year’s quarter. EBITDA loss widened to ₹11 crore from ₹4 crore in Q1 FY26.
On the operational front, Purple Style Labs saw its gross merchandise value (GMV) rise 45% year-on-year to ₹193 crore, up from ₹133 crore. The average order value increased to ₹86,000 from ₹66,000, while inventory levels declined to ₹159 crore from ₹174 crore a year earlier. These figures highlight improving business metrics despite the widened EBITDA loss and increased expenses.
Purple Style Labs expects FY27 to be its first full year of profitability, supported by the growth in GMV and revenue, as well as improved operational efficiencies, inc42.com reported.
