Mumbai-based AI-powered lending startup Rezolv has secured $12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Norwest, with participation from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and existing investor 3one4 Capital, the company announced. Founded in 2024 by former Kissht cofounders Sonali Jindal and Karan Mehta, Rezolv plans to use the capital to enhance its AI capabilities across the lending lifecycle, including sales, risk assessment, underwriting, and collections.

Rezolv’s platform automates lending and debt-collection workflows for banks, NBFCs, and other lenders, managing processes from pre-delinquency to loan write-offs through digital communication, calling, field visits, and legal action. The startup also offers AI voice agents supporting 11 Indian languages for sales, welcome calls, customer support, and collections. Co-founder Sonali Jindal highlighted that the investment would help boost recovery rates, reduce costs, and improve productivity by combining AI and intelligence within a comprehensive platform.

The funding round reflects growing investor interest in AI-driven fintech solutions that streamline lending operations and debt recovery. Rezolv’s approach targets the challenges lenders face in managing collections efficiently while maintaining customer engagement. This round follows a trend of startups leveraging AI to transform traditional financial services, with competitors focusing on risk assessment automation and customer communication enhancements. The involvement of Norwest and Vertex Ventures underscores confidence in Rezolv’s technology and market potential.

Rezolv’s founders, who stepped down from their roles at Kissht in September 2024 after nine years, aim to deploy the new funds to further develop their AI-powered lending suite. The startup’s platform currently supports multiple languages and integrates various stages of the lending lifecycle, positioning it to expand its footprint in India’s digital lending ecosystem.
