Peeko, a babycare-focused quick commerce startup, has raised $7 million (₹67.4 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, the company confirmed to inc42.com. Existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and other angel investors also participated. The fresh capital will be used to double Peeko’s dark store count in Bengaluru, expand product assortment, and enhance its technology platform.
Founded by former Leap Finance executives Chetan Sharma and Abhijit Gairola, along with ex-OYO’s Vivek Khetan, Peeko operates a vertical quick commerce platform delivering babycare products within an hour. The startup currently has three dark stores in Bengaluru, serving about 55% of the city’s pincodes, and offers around 30,000 SKUs across categories like apparel, toys, diapers, and baby food. The company plans to add three more dark stores and hire for key positions as it scales its operations, Sharma told inc42.com.
Peeko’s total funding now stands at approximately ₹95 crore, including ₹28 crore raised last year. The startup’s portfolio includes over 100 Indian and international brands such as Dr. Brown’s, Cetaphil, Sebamed, Mothercare, and Pantaloons. The quick commerce segment focused on babycare is gaining traction amid rising demand for fast delivery of essential products, positioning Peeko to compete with other niche and general quick commerce players in Bengaluru’s growing market.
The startup currently employs around 60 people and aims to strengthen its presence in Bengaluru with the new funding. Peeko’s next milestone is to operationalize six dark stores in the city, which will expand its delivery reach and product availability significantly, according to inc42.com.
